Girl takes SSLC exam after mom’s demise

Mangaluru: Even as the picture of Roopa, daughter of past due minister C S Shivalli, writing her SSLC exam shortly after suffering a personal tragedy continues to be contemporary in folks’s minds, a woman from Dakshina Kannada, too, has shown equivalent grit and personality.

A few hours after her mother died because of illness, Shaiba, a scholar of Al Madina English Medium High School, Naringana in Bantwal, appeared for her SSLC board exam and completed her paper conserving again her tears.


Shaiba’s mother Safiya used to be in poor health for the past few days. She died on Tuesday night. Undeterred, the 15-year-old Shaiba on Wednesday morning appeared at her exam centre at, Government High School, Montepadav, the place the invigilators equipped her a separate room and teachers ensured a conducive environment.


According to Hanif, principal, Al Madina English Medium High School, Shaiba gave her 2d language Kannada exam nowadays.
