Govt sets up multi-disciplinary terror monitoring group to ensure action against terror financing in J&K

NEW DELHI: The home ministry on Friday constituted a multi-disciplinary terror tracking crew (TMG) to make sure synergised and concerted action against terror financing and other terror-related actions in Jammu & Kashmir.


The members of TMG will comprise additional DGP, CID, in J&Ok police, who would even be its chairman, IGP in J&Ok police, additional director of Intelligence Bureau in J&Ok and representatives of CBI, NIA, ED, CBDT and CBIC. The crew will meet on a weekly basis and publish its action taken report frequently.


The frame will take coordinated action in all registered cases when it comes to terror and terror financing and bring them to logical conclusion. It will determine key persons together with leaders of organisations excited about supporting terrorism in any form and take concerted action against them. The TMG will investigate the networks of more than a few channels used to fund terror and terror-related actions and take coordinated action to prevent the float of such finances.


The crew may also take action against hardcore sympathisers amongst govt workers together with academics who provide covert or overt fortify to terror-related actions in J&Ok.
