PALANPUR: The 17-year-old Dalit boy Meet Chavda, who was allegedly tied to a tree and beaten by two persons and averted from taking elegance XII board exam, on Saturday gave the impression for his last paper beneath police coverage in Patan.
His mother Tarunaben mentioned, “My son was beaten up as part of a conspiracy to break his occupation.” She and her husband had migrated from Patan district to Mehsana. She has also instructed the government to ensure that Meet’s yr is not wasted as he was no longer allowed to appear for his English paper.
TArunaben has also demanded police coverage for her son and circle of relatives until the accused in the case are arrested.
Police have detained two persons recognized as Harsh Patel from Dhanodrda in Patan and Mahendra Patel from Dabhi village of Unjha taluka in Mehsana in reference to the case, mentioned deputy superintendent of police RP Zala of Patan.
“We are in search of the others named by the boy in his criticism,” he added.
