Gzb: Man, 11-year-old son killed in hit-and-run

GHAZIABAD: An 11-year-old boy and his father were killed after being hit via an unidentified heavy automobile close to Hapur Chungi on Wednesday. The boy’s 15-year-old sister performed their final rites on Thursday. Earlier within the day, she sat for her Class X maths examination.
On Wednesday, the annual results of the boy, Garvit Singh, a Class V pupil of India International School, were declared. He had secured 2nd rank in his magnificence. The family made up our minds to have fun the instance that night time, and Garvit and his father Ravindra Kumar Sagar (40) left their area in Avantika Extension to shop for food from a cafe.

They were on their approach house on Ravinder’s motorcycle when a heavy automobile hit them from in the back of close to Shastri Nagar E-Block round nine.30pm. The duo fell at the road and were overwhelmed underneath the wheels of the automobile. The motive force, alternatively, didn't stop and sped off.

While Ravindra died at the spot, Garvit, who used to be rushed to Sarvodaya Hospital in Kavi Nagar via passersby, breathed his final right through treatment.

The family stated Ravindra, a shopkeeper, had shifted to Avantika Extension from Chiranjeev Vihar round 4 years in the past. “Garvit used to be smartly disciplined and slightly studious. His sister Tiya’s Class X board checks were starting from Thursday, so the family had made up our minds to have a small treat at house,” Garvit’s aunt Mamta stated.


Ravindra’s father Chaitram Singh too used to be killed in a road twist of fate in Kavi Nagar ten years in the past. “Police did not catch the perpetrator within the 2009 case, and we have little hope that the accused will be caught in this case as smartly. We request police to spot the automobile the use of footage from CCTV cameras installed within the area,” Ravindra’s brother-in-law Arun Kumar stated.


On Thursday, Tiya put on a courageous face and didn't pass over her examination. Later within the afternoon, she also performed the final rites of her father and brother. “An FIR used to be registered against the driver, who's but to be known, underneath sections 279 (rash using), 304A (inflicting death because of negligence) and 427 (mischief inflicting injury) of the IPC at Kavi Nagar police station on Thursday,” a police officer stated.
