BENGALURU: The Congress and JD(S) are prone to rework its seat-sharing arrangement following growing resentment within the Congress for ceding Uttara Kannada, Tumakuru and Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha seats to the regional birthday celebration. Leaders of both parties on Sunday hinted at a imaginable alternate in constituencies allocated to the JD(S).
Ever for the reason that alliance introduced its deal, Congress workers had been fuming as they believe the BJP will have a cakewalk in those three segments since JD(S) lacks organisational strength. Sources say talks have begun between the parties to redistribute seats.
JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda advised reporters in Shivamogga that the birthday celebration can provide the Uttara Kannada seat to the Congress. "Revenue minister RV Deshpande discussed the proposal in the morning," Gowda said. "We have not taken a decision yet, but we want to defeat communal forces in the state."
