ROME: Italy will sign a framework settlement with China at the "Belt and Road" infrastructure project and no longer a binding deal, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said on Tuesday.
Speaking to newshounds at the sidelines of an match, Conte said the federal government was once no longer liable to falling over the issue regardless of diverging views between the 2 events within the ruling coalition.
"What we are going to sign (with China) is not a binding agreement but a framework agreement (to improve trade) ... We are joining the project with all the due caution," he said, adding Italy remained committed to its European and US allies.
