Rajkot: The trustees of Kankai temple positioned in dense Gir woodland have alleged that woodland officers vandalized their water pipeline on the middle of the night of Friday and threatened them with penal action if they tried to lay the pipeline again. However, the woodland officers claimed that it was a false impression on part of each the parties.
The temple administrators mentioned that they have been repairing the water pipeline forward of the nine-day Chaitri Navratri competition that begins on April 6, when 1000's of devotees are anticipated to seek advice from the temple. They argued that they needed water for large selection of devotees, particularly when the area is reeling under heat wave conditions.
Narendra Jani, president of the temple, mentioned, “The woodland officers barged into the temple premises after middle of the night on Friday and without any realize vandalized the pipeline which was being laid within the premises.”
“We have been replacing the 45-year-old pipelines within the night time because all the way through the day one can't paintings on account of the top temperature,” Jani added, accusing woodland department of harassment.
The pipeline was being laid from the smartly within the temple compound to the water tank inside the premises. Jani mentioned that the temple has 80 cows that require large amount of water.
When contacted, chief conservator of woodland (natural world), D T Vasavda mentioned, “The temple government have been repairing the pipeline all the way through the evening which is illegitimate within the woodland house. They also did not tell the woodland staff about the paintings. The factor appears to be of confusion on each the perimeters.”
He added that the temple government can be allowed to switch the outdated pipeline under supervision of woodland officers.
