Man loses Rs 2 lakh while picking up Rs 10 note

AHMEDABAD: A 72-year-old guy lost Rs 2 lakh, in money, when he used to be picking up a Rs 10 be aware from the road, in Sector 7 in Gandhinagar on Tuesday afternoon. Two males had pointed to the be aware and informed him to select up ‘his cash’. While he doing so, the 2 disappeared together with his bag, which had Rs 2 lakh.


Zahiruddin Shaikh, a resident of Sector 7 in Gandhinagar, on Tuesday filed an FIR at Sector 7 police station, that he had withdrawn Rs 2 lakh from a bank in Sector 16 and he had Rs 20,000 on him.


“As he used to be going from the bank to his house in Sector 7 on his two-wheeler, two motorcycle-borne males called out to him saying that he had dropped his cash. When he looked on the street, he noticed a Rs 10 be aware there. He parked his two-wheeler and went to select up the be aware. As he used to be doing so, a passerby shouted that the motorcycle-borne males had taken his bag,” the FIR reads.


Sector 7 police registered a case for theft and abetment and began an investigation.
