Ludhiana: In a bid to encourage residents in particular adolescence to vote within the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, district management Ludhiana would be organising a marathon within the city on March 31.

Assistant Commissioner (General) Dr Poonam Preet Kaur knowledgeable that the primary aim of this marathon would be to encourage the residents to workout their proper to vote and in addition to coach them about the significance of balloting. She stated that this marathon would be conducted in two segments- 5 Km and 10 Km for each the genders. Officials stated that more than 2,000 residents are expected to participate on this marathon. The contributors would be given T-shirts and the primary three winners would be awarded with medals whilst next five winners would be awarded with cash prizes.
Urging residents to participate in massive number the officials stated those interested can get themselves registered for collaborating within the marathon via visiting the office of District Sports Officer (DSO) at Guru Nanak Stadium, between 10 am to five pm on any working day.
