PATIALA: Police here have booked unidentified persons for stealing one pc, 5 computers and other pieces from a central authority college in Sher Majra village of the district. The incident came to fore on Friday morning when the college academics went to the laboratory and had been surprised to notice that the new laptops and computers had been stolen. The academics immediately knowledgeable the law enforcement officials and a case used to be registered under sections of the IPC.
The college predominant claimed that it is the 3rd such incident reported in the district. She mentioned up to now three hundred and sixty five days the burglars had stolen number of things from the college and the matter used to be brought to the attention of the upper authorities. It is pertinent to say that the college did not have a security guard and the predominant used to be unaware if one of these provision exists for primary faculties.
On Thursday evening, some unidentified persons allegedly stole computers and laptops value lakhs of rupees. They allegedly decamped with 5 computers, one pc and three track monitors from the Government Elementary School in Sher Majra village.
The computers from the SOLE (Self Organised Learning Environment) lab along with chargers had been stolen. Besides this, the accused did not even spare the CCTV cameras installed in the college. The college authorities have reported the incident to the police. The police have already registered a case under Sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Station house officer, (SHO) Baljit Singh, mentioned they've won a grievance from the college and a case has been registered. The investigation is underway, he added. However, they're but to spot the accused.
