BHUBANESWAR: In but every other setback to the ruling BJD in Odisha ahead of the coming near near simultaneous polls; Gunupur MLA Trinath Gomango resigned from number one club of the birthday party on Monday.
Alleging neglect by means of birthday party leaders in Rayagada district, Trinath submitted his resignation to the political secretary of BJD president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas here.
“Despite operating sincerely for the birthday party and folks of my constituency, I used to be now not given due importance by means of birthday party’s district stage leadership. In my absence, they've inducted an official-turned-politician with out my wisdom,” Trinath informed newshounds here.
The Gunupur legislator, brother of former MP Hema Gomango and brother-in-law of former chief minister Giridhar Gamang, is reportedly upset with BJD’s resolution to switch him within the coming near near assembly election.
Trinath has joined BJD in 2009. The birthday party had fielded him from the reserved constituency for tribal candidates in 2014.
Asked whether he would sign up for any other birthday party; the outgoing legislator said he's going to quickly take a decision after discussions with his electorate.
The Gunupur MLA is the third senior leader, who had left the ruling birthday party in previous one week. Earlier, birthday party’s Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi and Nilagiri MLA Sukanta Nayak left the birthday party. Majhi switched to the saffron camp lately.
