Pitambar files nomination from Naveen’s bastion

Berhampur: Senior Orissa high court recommend Pitambar Acharya, who will contest towards leader minister Naveen Patnaik from the Hinjili meeting section, filed his nomination on Wednesday.
Acharya, accompanied via Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP chief Damodar Rout, filed his papers sooner than the returning officer at Chhatrapur on Tuesday, the overall day to record nomination for the second one segment of the election to be hung on April 18. Hinjli will vote on this segment.

“We have fielded BJP vice-president Pitambar Acharya to take on the leader minister in Hinjili. I'm hoping he'll win from the seat, which has been unnoticed via leader minister Naveen Patnaik all over his 19-year rule,” Dharmendra said.

Naveen filed his nomination from Hinjili on March 21. He will contest from the seat for the 5th time in a row.

After submitting his papers, Acharya said all sections of the folk in Hinjili have been unnoticed via the federal government.

“Youths of the area have migrated, mainly to Surat, to eke out a livelihood. The leader minister can have made Hinjili a Surat however he didn't,” he said.

“When the manager minister got here to Hinjili, he was once new to it. His most effective identification was once that he was once the son of Biju Patnaik, former leader minister,” Acharya said in reply to a question that he was once new to the seat.

Acharya will not be the only legal professional to challenge Naveen. Sambhu Nath Panigrahy, every other recommend, has additionally filed his nomination from Hinjili as a Congress candidate.

The birthday celebration had earlier announced the name of Rama Krushna Panda for Hinjili however changed its choice on Monday and nominated Panigrahy as an alternative.


The BJD’s Ganjam district president Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy said the folk of Hinjli love the manager minister.


“That is why his victory margin keeps increasing every election. We hope he'll win from the seat with a document margin this time,” he said.


Patnaik was once elected to the meeting from Hinjili in 2000 with a margin of 29,826 votes. This higher to 42,642 in 2004, 61,773 in 2009 and 76,586 in 2014.
