EC biased towards ruling parties, says CPM

Coimbatore: The election commission is biased against BJP and AIADMK applicants, CPM state secretary K Balakrishnan stated right here on Tuesday.

“While the applicants from the 2 events violated the code of behavior once they filed nominations, EC did not take action and has no longer heeded to written proceedings,” the Left chief instructed newshounds. “The applicants had worn their birthday celebration badges once they filed nominations. Won’t these other people, who violated the norms before the election officials, accomplish that elsewhere?”

“Truckloads of individuals are delivered to the conferences attended by means of the manager minister. An RDO in Kanchipuram district, who is functioning as an election professional, has shut kinfolk in the ruling birthday celebration. How are we able to expect the professional to act truthful? Police officials and govt officials, who've been running for a very long time in a constituency, will have to be transferred to check favouritism. We will get ready an in depth criticism and submit it to the election commission on Wednesday,” Balakrishnan stated.

Byelection has been announced for 18 assembly constituencies out of the 21 vacant constituencies as a result of if AIADMK loses in all of the 21 constituencies, it would lose power, the CPM chief stated.

The demonetisation drive did not curb black money, however reasonably affected micro and small companies, powerloom and knitwear sectors, he stated.
