Vadodara: Normalcy has returned in the life of a 52-year-old Ratlam-based woman who was once affected by vesico-vaginal fistula (VVF), a condition whereby urine often leaks from the urinary bladder directly into vagina.
The patient who had to often put on diapers and suffered from lifelong morbidity has been stored thru laparoscopic surgical treatment.
According to medical doctors at Parul Sevashram Hospital (PSH), a significant reason for this disorder is due to any type of trauma right through surgical procedures, inflicting hire or tear as an artificial tract in which urine flows often gets created.
The woman had gone through a complete belly hysterectomy five years back. However, due to post-operative complications, she began creating VVF.
