CHENNAI: A salesperson employed at a track retailer in Parrys corner was arrested on Friday for stealing musical instruments value Rs 45 lakh from the premises.
Police known the arrested man as Sankar, 30, a native of Trichy. Police said the store’s auditor just lately checked went throughout the ledger balance and conducted an in depth check of inward and outward receipts, when he found some disparity within the musical instruments inventory.
The auditor alerted the store owner about the lacking musical instruments, value about Rs 45 lakh. The owner informed the personnel to test the CCTV digicam photos, after they found Sankar unnecessarily enter the room where the musical instruments have been saved in. Sankar stopped reporting to paintings every week ago.
Owner Antony, 28, lodged a police grievance towards Sankar. Police body of workers conducted inquiries with Sankar, who confessed to the crime. Sankar was produced prior to George Town Justice of the Peace court and despatched to Puzhal prison.
