CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh district courtroom acquitted one in sexual harassment case of a minor. The courtroom acquitted the accused below phase 354 (assault or felony force to girl with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment), 506 (punishment for felony intimidation) of the IPC and phase 8 (punishment for sexual assault) of POCSO Act.
The complainant in the topic was once declared opposed and this ended in acquittal of the accused.
The topic dates back to October four, 2018, when the complainant moved reported the topic. The complainant was once studying in Class X and as according to her compliant, it was once mentioned that the accused were following her for lots of days and each and every time she used to visit college, the accused would harass her. On the said day, the accused blocked her way and forcefully took her to a room. He first slapped her and warned her of no longer disclosing the topic to anyone or she would have to undergo the consequences.
The accused sexually assaulted her and warned her of no longer getting talking to any other boy of the locality. The complainant narrated the entire episode to her mother and filed a case towards the accused. The police booked the accused below relevant sections of the IPC.
During the trial, the complainant retracted from her statement and was once declared opposed which ended in his acquittal.

The accused has been identified as Afroj Alam and he was once acquitted of sections 420 (dishonest) and 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The defence proved in the courtroom that the accused was once no longer the similar person.
The case dates back to October 16, 2017, when the complainant, Siraj, alleged that he had long gone to Sector 19 branch of the Punjab National Bank to deposit Rs 20,000 given to him via his brother-in-law. When he was once at the financial institution, the accused approached him mentioning that he would fill the financial institution form for him. However, the accused all of sudden took out a knife from his pocket and pointed at Siraj and took him outside the financial institution. As according to the criticism, the accused robbed him of Rs 20,000 and escaped from the spot.
Siraj then knowledgeable the police and a case was once registered towards Afroj, who was once later arrested. During the trial, the defence counsel argued that Afroj was once falsely implicated in the case. The complainant, too, did not determine him in the courtroom. After hearing the arguments, the courtroom acquitted the accused of the charges.
