Tamil Nadu tops in cash seizure this poll season

Tamil Nadu has emerged the highest state in relation to the cash and gold seized by the Election Commission.

Since the style code of conduct came into effect, ₹70.90 crore had been seized until Friday, mentioned chief electoral officer Satyabrata Sahoo.

Similarly, gold and silver within the type of bars as well as ornaments worth ₹88.70 crore were seized within the state. Total gold seized was once 313kg and silver 370kg. Gutka and narcotics worth ₹22.94 lakh have also been seized.
