Varanasi: Sonbhadra police on Sunday arrested three more accused, including two juveniles, for killing Mohd Anwar (60) in Parsoi village below Obra police jurisdiction on March 20 night time over a land dispute.
SP Sonbhadra Salman Taj Patil said that accused Akshay and two juveniles were arrested on Sunday. During wondering they published details following which police recovered the awl and sticks utilized in killing Anwar. “Akshay has confessed to have attacked Anwar with awl,” the SP added.
On Saturday, police had arrested seven individuals, including main accused Ravindra Kharwar.
“We have arrested 10 of the 19 accused within the case, including five juveniles. Raids are on to nab the remaining accused,” said Patil.
On March 20 night time, some individuals had began demolishing the tazia platform near primary school in Parsoi village. When Anwar tried to forestall them, they attacked him with sticks and awl and fled. Anwar’s son Mohd Hasnain rushed him to native hospital the place he was once declared introduced dead.
Acting on Hasnain’s criticism, Obra police had lodged a named FIR towards 19 individuals.
Hasnain had told police that Kharwar were accomplishing ‘shakha’ at the land the place the tazia platform was once positioned and he used to provoke locals to take away the platform.
