Trans model accuses Gurugram hotel of discrimination

GURUGRAM: A Delhi-based transgender type has accused the overall supervisor of Park Inn, Gurgaon, of discrimination.


Model Aizya Naaz Joshi (37) stated the hotel confirmed booking of 20 rooms for a good looks competition however later presented six rooms only. However, the overall supervisor of the Gurgaon hotel has refuted the allegations. As of now, no formal criticism has been filed within the case.


Joshi stated she had asked 20 rooms within the hotel for an upcoming good looks competition and the hotel staff affirmed emptiness on the ones dates. “Three weeks ago, the hotel staff negotiated a sum of Rs 5 lakh for 20 rooms by the use of electronic mail. Last week, I visited the hotel for depositing the token amount. I was asked through the gross sales supervisor to meet the overall supervisor, Ashok Ganguly. He was extraordinarily rude. I was made to wait for an hour after which told to talk over with the hotel once more the following day because the booking needed to be mentioned with the regional gross sales supervisor,” she stated.


Joshi turned into the first Indian transsexual to win the identify of Ms World Diversity in 2018. She stated, “They denied me booking for 20 rooms and presented six rooms in lieu of it, citing pre-booking as an excuse. When approached for a comment, Ashok Ganguly stated, “These allegations are totally incorrect. She asked 20 rooms however no amount was deposited. We were given other bookings and this is why we could offer her only six rooms. She has been forcing us to confirm 20 rooms.”
