Allahabad: Two youngsters, Mehngu lal (10) and Shatrughan (eight) of Fazipur village beneath Manjhanpur police station of Kaushambi district had been burnt alive after their hut caught fire in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to SP Kaushambi, Pradeep Gupta, Deena Nath and his wife used to work in a brick kiln located at Gobarsahai beneath Sadar police station. Deena Nath used to stay in a short lived thatched hut located close to the kiln.
“In the wee hours of Tuesday, their hut caught fire, probably as a result of lantern or the bidi, and as a result of winds, the fire temporarily spread. Before the guy labours may just help and all family members may just come out, the fire had engulfed the hut during which those two children were given trapped and died,” stated the professional.
The fire were given enhanced after the petrol tank of the motorcycle, belonging to Deena Nath and parked adjacent to the wall of the hut, caught fire and petrol spilled out.
However, different youngsters of the family together with Rubi, Suraj, Rahul and Chandni sustained minor burn accidents and had been taken to govt sanatorium of Manjhanpur for remedy, he added.
Among the survivors are the twin youngsters of the couple, aged 18 months, added Gupta.
DM, Manish Kumar Verma, SDM Joyti Maurya and different officials of the district administration visited the web page and met the family members.
“The DM has assured of all possible help, both monetary and in sort that can be extended to the family on this state of affairs”, stated the SP.
