VADODARA: Gotri police booked two women shoplifters for stealing jewelry worth Rs 4.38 lakh on Sunday. The duo walked in to a showroom on Race Course Road posing as customers and stole 4 gold bangles. The police officers have sought CCTV pictures of the store to research the case further. Store head of Malabar Gold Private Ltd, Abhilash Balkrishnan, filed a theft grievance against the ladies. He informed the police that he opened the showroom on Sunday morning and took out all the jewelry from the locker. At about 11 am, two women got here and requested to peer gold bangles. An worker of the showroom, Krishna Gohil, showed the duo quite a lot of bangles, but the women stated that not one of the bangles have compatibility their size. The showroom personnel then requested them to fill up a feedback shape, but they gave a mistaken quantity. While remaining the showroom within the night, the personnel learned that some bangles have been lacking after they have been doing the day by day audit.
Detailed scanning revealed that 4 gold bangles worth Rs 4.38 lakh have been lacking. “The personnel checked the CCTV pictures which showed the 2 women strolling in as customers to have stolen the bangles. The accused stole the bangles lying at the counter, when Gohil had turned to keep the jewellery safely within the tray,” the police stated.
