HISAR: The police have booked nine persons underneath the Child Marriage Prohibition Act following a criticism by a 13-year-old lady who was allegedly married to a person a lot older to her.
Among the ones booked on Monday are the minor’s mother, grandparents, uncle, husband and sister-in-law.
In her criticism, the girl stated her father had died long time ago and that her mother took her to her maternal grandparents’ home a couple of month ago. She stated there was a dinner party, which was attended by four-five other folks besides her grandparents, uncle and aunt, where she was requested to garland a person and then made to accompany him to his home. She stated all the way through her stay with the person, he raped her several instances.
When she returned to her maternal home after several days, somebody complained to the Fatehabad Child Welfare Committee, which recorded the sufferer’s observation and passed over the case to Fatehabad woman police station. Fatehabad ladies police station despatched the case to Hisar police after registering a zero FIR.
Hisar police have registered a case of rape of adlescent, child marriage and irritated sexual assault.
