SRINAGAR: A Major of the Indian Army died after slipping into a gorge while patrolling the higher reaches of Kumkadi woodland in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district past due on Saturday.
Vikash Singh (30) of the 57 RR A Coy used to be on patrol responsibility at Kumkadi space of Haihama close to Machhil sector, with reference to the Line of Control, when he by chance slipped into a deep gorge.
