Varun VL says he was by no means a fan of Mathematics

During the 54th Annual Convocation of Bangalore University (BU), one pupil who won his PhD award from the university was elated that his paintings has paid off. Varun, says he was no longer a fan of Mathematics. He says, “My father works as a photographer and I was by no means just right in Mathematics. Even in my Pre-University and my stage college days, I was vulnerable in Mathematics. But I was steadily being motivated via my folks and lecturers and slowly advanced an passion on this. The Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu who was the chief guest for Bangalore University’s convocation batted for primary schooling in the mother tongue.

During his speech, Venkaiah Naidu wired on the significance of one’s mother tounge via reminding the scholars of his provision in Rajya Sabha. “It may also be Kannada, Telugu, Hindi or Tamil. One must be able to express themselves in that specific language. Because of my efforts, now each and every member of Rajya Sabha has the privilege to speak in their mother tongue,” he mentioned.

Anger over terrorism

The Vice President has expressed his anger over the terrorist activities across the country. Talking concerning the terror attack in Sri Lanka on Sunday, he said, “No country is secure and terrorism is a big challenge, in spite of all of the efforts to get rid of it. Unfortunately our neighbours are coaching terrorists.”

Sanskrit poet honoured with Presidential Award

The Vice-President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu, introduced the ‘Presidential Award of Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman’ to Dr.Shankar Rajaraman, the well known Bengaluru-based Sanskrit poet, lately in New Delhi. He was honoured with Rs 1,00,00zero and a certificates from the President of India Ram Nath Kovind. He was conferred the award for his remarkable contribution in the box of Sanskrit language and literature.

The Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman, named after sage Veda Vyasa, the illustrious creator of Mahabharata, is a Presidential award, instituted via the Government of India in 2002, to honour younger scholars, aged 30-45 years, in recognition in their significant contribution to classical Indian languages. The distinction is conferred yearly in recognition of considerable contribution in the box of Sanskrit, Persian, and so forth.
