The IMD on Thursday predicted very heavy rain from Sunday in Chennai and parts of Tamil Nadu as a neatly marked low force has formed in the Bay of Bengal and is likely to intensify into a cyclonic typhoon in the subsequent 48 hours. As of now the north coastal districts are likely to get rain, mentioned IMD Chennai director.
