MUMBAI: In a jolt to the Maharashtra govt and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the Bombay top court docket on Tuesday ordered the government to prevent paintings and ordered a established order at the reclamation being carried out for the Mumbai coastal road undertaking.
A department bench of chief justice Pradeep Nandrajog and justice Nitin Jamdar granted the order on PILs filed challenging clearances for the undertaking. BMC and state had adversarial an meantime injunction against the paintings claiming it will cause a lack of over Rs 10 crore according to day.

Almost 34 kilometre coastal road will attach Marine Lines in South Mumbai to Kandivli in the North of the town. Last year, paintings started at the 10 kilometre stretch from Marine Lines to the Bandra-Worli Seal hyperlink at Worli.
