Drunk driving triggers crash in Indiranagar

LUCKNOW: A drunk SUV motive force rammed into a motorcycle and two more automobiles, leaving three persons significantly injured on Polytechnic flyover in Indiranagar overdue on Sunday evening.

Police found two empty bottles of booze in the SUV belonging to Vikas Srivastava (30) who was additionally injured in the twist of fate at the side of a pair and their son who had been using the bike. They are all admitted to Lohia sanatorium.


Ghazipur circle officer Deepak Kumar mentioned the twist of fate came about round midnight and Srivastava, a resident of Takrohi, was speeding under the influence of alcohol.


"The man lost control of the SUV, which hit a bike and then another SUV and an MUV. The injured couple has been identified as Kailash Rawat (35) and his wife Archana (32). Their eight-year-old son Ayush was flung off the bike on impact. The SUV hurtled down the flyover and came to a halt only after hitting a tree," officer Kumar mentioned.


The motive force of the MUV, Mahesh Giri, was the primary to inform police while passers-by referred to as an ambulance.


Polytechnic police outpost in-charge Firoz Alam mentioned Srivastava had sustained head wounds while Rawat had chest injuries. Archana, Alam mentioned, had fractured her legs and nonetheless subconscious as is Ayush.
