NEW DELHI: The Election Commission on Wednesday sent a notice to Uttar Pradesh leader minister Yogi Adityanath for his fresh remark in Ghaziabad crediting "Modiji ki sena" for countering terrorists with "bullets and bombs". The notice is in view of Adiyanath's feedback having invoked the army, prima facie violating the EC's directions dated March 19 asking political parties to restrain their campaigners and applicants from indulging in political propaganda involving actions of the defence forces.
Sources in Lucknow said the UP leader minister has been requested to reply to the EC show-cause notice newest by way of April 5 afternoon.
EC had requested UP leader electoral officer to hunt a factual file from the Ghaziabad district magistrate quickly after Adityanath made the debatable remarks at an election rally. "Congress ke log aatankwadiyon ko biryani khilate the aur Modi ji ki sena aatankwadiyon ko goli aur gola deti hai. (Congress would feed 'biryani' to terrorists, while Modi's army gives them bullets and bombs). This is the difference. The Congress people use 'ji' to refer to Masood Azhar to encourage terrorism," he was once quoted as having said.
Adityanath's feedback are being seen as prima facie invoking the defence forces to further the political and electoral potentialities of the BJP.
In an instruction dated March 19, the EC had urged the political parties and applicants to ask their campaigners and applicants to desist, "as part of their election campaigning, from indulging in any political propaganda involving activities of the defence forces." This was once days after it reiterated its directions restraining political parties and applicants from showing photographs of defence body of workers and functions involving defence body of workers of their commercials.
