Farmers fume as traders cut fennel price in Halvad

RAJKOT: The farmers, who had come to promote their fennel seed produce at Halvad Market Yard in Morbi district staged a road block and held a demonstration when they did not get the honest worth on Monday.

When the farmers have been noticed coming with huge amounts of fennel seed sacks, investors at the backyard reduced the fee by means of Rs 300 per 20kg to Rs 1,000 per 20kg within the ongoing auction there.


“The investors had already reduced the cost of fennel seeds by means of Rs 50 on Saturday.
