RAJKOT: Once slapped, twice shy Congress chief Hardik Patel sought police protection for his rally that traversed thru 22 villages of Jamnagar taluka on Sunday, fearing another assault.
The PAAS chief, who used to be slapped at a public assembly in Surendranagar district on Friday, wrote to Jamnagar superintendent of police citing his fears, and police provided him good enough security for the rally.
The assailant, who used to be overpowered via Congress workers at the ‘Jan Akrosh Sabha’, used to be later identified as Tarun Gajjar, who claimed it used to be an act of private vengeance. tnn
