IMFL worth Rs 22L seized; two arrested

Rajkot: A total of 6,000 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL), value Rs 22.38 lakh, had been seized from a truck and two bootleggers arrested from Fatehgadh village of Rapar taluka in Kutch district on Tuesday night time.

The accused had been known as truck driving force Sureshchandra Salavi (31) and its cleaner Narendra Garg (26).


During interrogation, the accused stated that the IMFL cache used to be uploaded on to the truck in Sachor of Rajasthan and so they had been suggested to call on attaining Adesar in Kutch. There, a car used to be meant to come back to take the delivery of the liquor bottles.


“The IMFL bottles had been saved underneath a heap of fertilizers. We will be generating the accused before a court docket right here to seek their remand to find out whether or not the liquor cache were supplied for the electorate in the run-up to Lok Sabha elections,” stated J H Gadhvi, sub-inspector with Rapar police station.
