JAIPUR: Demanding implementation of the Advocate Protection Act in the state, attorneys from the district and classes courtroom blocked the street near Jaipur collectorate on Thursday.
Livid over two incidents of attorneys being beaten up in the city, they demanded arrest of the accused who had been allegedly involvement in the two separate incidents.
The incidents came about at the city’s MI Road and at the district Collectorate Circle. Representatives of attorneys met district collector Jagroop Singh Yadav and handed over a memorandum to him urging the state govt to put into effect the Advocate Protection Act in the state. “It is not for the primary time that such an incident has came about. Frequent attacks on attorneys have made the attorneys’ community livid. We need protection and for that objective, the federal government should put into effect the Advocate Protection Act,” said Gajraj Singh Rajawat, secretary, district recommend bar association (DABA).
Hundreds of attorneys boycotted paintings on Thursday and came out at the road shouting slogans. The attorneys claimed that the demand for implementation of the Advocate Protection Act is long pending. They identified that they'd submitted a memorandum to the state govt when Vasundhara Raje was once the executive minister. Now, they have again raised the demand when the Congress has shaped the federal government.
The attorneys claimed that on April 16, an recommend Kuldeep Rajawat, was once beaten up via workers of a car towing van, which was once roped in via the visitors police to tow vehicles that have been parked wrongly at the roads. According to the attorneys, Rajawat got hurt when the employees had been towing vehicles carelessly. When Rajawat fell down, he protested but he was once allegedly manhandled via the employees.
In another such incident, an recommend Anil Chaudhary was once manhandled via supporters of a candidate contesting Lok Sabha elections, who came to file the nomination at district collectorate, the place they allegedly manhandled Chaudhary over parking factor.
