JAIPUR: With less expensive flights and more spending power of the air travellers, Jaipur airport registered approximately 15% enlargement in the passenger traffic compared to previous year.
According to the latest passenger traffic information of the Airport Authority of India (AAI), till March 31, 2019, the Jaipur airport witnessed 55 lakh passengers, which includes each domestic and foreign.
According to the data, Jaipur airport had approximately 47 lakh passengers in 2017-18, 46 lakh in 2016-17 and 36 lakh all through 2015-16.
Jaideep Singh Balhara, director, Airport Authority of India (AAI), Jaipur said-,”more number of flights and the increasing monetary capacity of the passengers for air trip are the primary explanation why for this hike in the number of passengers.”
Currently there are 67 flights working from Jaipur to quite a lot of domestic and international locations. Till ultimate year there have been 61flights working from the airport. Out of the 55 lakh passengers who travelled thru Jaipur Airport in 2018-19, round 6 lakh have been international passengers whilst the remaining have been domestic.
