Existing models suggest that the ‘Fani’ may pass Odisha close to Puri on May 4. “It (cyclonic hurricane over south-east Bay of Bengal) may be very more likely to move north-westwards until May 1 (Wednesday) and thereafter re-curve north-northeastwards towards Odisha coast,” stated the ministry of earth sciences in a observation on ‘Fani’.
