Ludhiana: Machhiwara police have booked Baldev Singh and his brother Sukhdev Singh from Jodhwal for allegedly duping Sukhdeep Singh of Chakli Manga at the pretext of sending him to Spain.
In his criticism to Khanna SSP, Sukhdeep stated he knew Sukhdev who had gone to Spain. He claimed Sukhdev sought Rs 11 lakh to prepare documents to settle him in Spain and promised to take him there within a year.
Sukhdeep alleged that he gave Rs 5.5 lakh to Sukhdev and Baldev on different dates after selling his five-kanal land, whereas an equal amount used to be to be given to them after attaining Spain. He stated but even after a year, the accused neither ship him to Spain nor returned his cash.
The accused are yet to be arrested.
