KHANNA (LUDHIANA): A large fire broke out in a hardware items and plywood godown on Samrala Road at Khanna in Pubjab's Ludhiana district here on Monday night time. Fire officers stated that 12-14 fire tenders have been pressed in to douse the flames.
Yashpal Rai, a fireplace officer, stated that since the fire was once main, they pressed more than a dozen fire tenders into carrier including three fire tenders from Khanna, two from Samrala, Two from Mandi Gobindgarh, two from Ludhiana, one every from Fatehgarh, Mohali, Ropar and Nawanshahr. He added that the godown and showroom is owned by Hukum Chand and his sons and contained hardware, paints, furnishings, and so on.
“Around 50 officers of our department are running to keep an eye on the fire that began round 6pm. We confronted problems in dousing the fire as the fire had passed off on the 3rd ground of the construction which is hooked up to primary road thru slim road and another entrance is through the primary road. We have managed to get water pipes through the boulevard and optimistically we will keep an eye on fire quickly. Fire has no longer reached the electronic just right showroom owned by them,” stated the fire officer.
