The injured cop has been referred to PGI, Chandigarh for remedy and the district police have registered a case in opposition to him on the grievance of his wife Gurpreet Kaur, resident of New Colony, Maheshnagar, Ambala.

Maheshnagar police have registered a case in opposition to Jasbir underneath relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Maheshnagar SHO inspector Ajaib Singh stated, “The accused Jasbir had shot himself twice together with his authorized pistol and is undergoing remedy at PGI, Chandigarh the place his condition is claimed to be out of danger. On the grievance of Gurpreet, we have registered a case in opposition to him and further investigation is on.”
