COIMBATORE: Five scholars studying in non-public schools right here were arrested on Wednesday morning for getting and promoting ganja.
The scholars were stuck from two different locations and were found possessing 2.25 kg of the drug.
Police gained a most sensible off stating that these boys had been dealing in ganja for the previous three hundred and sixty five days and were promoting it to many in their college mates. They were additionally informed that the lads were bringing back a stash of ganja into the town on Wednesday.
The Singanallur police stated the five boys, 3 mechanical engineering scholars, one laptop science engineering pupil and one psychology pupil, had been buying ganja in bulk, sharing it among themselves and promoting it to their college mates at triple the prices.
While the police stuck 3 scholars at SIHS Colony at the back of airport highway at 11am, two others were stuck from underneath Ondipudhur flyover. “We found one staff wearing 1.1kg of ganja and every other staff wearing 1.25 kg of ganja. They stated they purchase it from a vendor in Palani. We are investigating into it,” stated a senior inspector at Singanallur station. “We need more information and permission from seniors to head after the sellers in Palani,” he added.
