NCP: RJD should have supported Kanhaiya Kumar

PATNA: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) basic secretary D P Tripathi on Monday held the RJD answerable for non-accommodation of some anti-BJP parties in the Grand Alliance (GA) in state. “There is lack of coordination some of the five GA companions in the state,” he mentioned.

The five GA companions are RJD, Congress, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Vikassheel Insaan Party. The Left parties and the NCP had been disregarded of the alliance.

“Had RJD chief Lalu Prasad been out of prison, he would have succeeded in giving a powerful opposition alliance to the people of the state. His son and leader of opposition in state meeting Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is ‘Tejashwi’ in politics too,” Tripathi mentioned.

A JNU alumnus, Tripathi was once in Patna solution to Begusarai, where he's going to marketing campaign for CPI nominee and former JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar for 2 days. Kanhaiya is pitted against BJP’s firebrand leader and Union minister Giriraj Singh, besides Tanveer Hasan of the RJD.

“It is unfortunate that the RJD has fielded its nominee Tanveer at Begusarai. It is not logical to mention that Tanveer were the first runner up (to BJP’s past due Bhola Singh) in 2014. Under any large alliance, there have been examples where one birthday party has left its seat for the other spouse,” Tripathi mentioned.

He added all senior opposition leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar and Chandrababu Naidu had inspired on the RJD best brass to reinforce Kanhaiya’s candidature at Begusarai. “Whatever shape the GA has taken in Bihar, it was once due to their affect on Lalu,” Tripathi mentioned.

On Sunday, RJD spokesman Shivanand Tiwary had described Kanhaiya as a ‘votekatwa’.

However, the state CPI management did not take Tiwary’s claim charitably. “What Tiwary has mentioned is mean, low and hilarious. For, the people of Begusarai are rooting for Kanhaiya, as a substitute of the RJD’s candidate. The RJD must introspect by itself stand with respect to Begusarai,” CPI state secretary Satya Narayan Singh mentioned.

Tripathi mentioned even if the one blended grand alliance could no longer be formed on the national stage due to the presence of robust regional parties in different states, the opposition alliance were partly formed in some states like Uttar Pradesh.

The NCP has fielded its candidates on six seats in Bihar – Gaya, Katihar, Hajipur, Sheohar, Karakat and Nalanda. “The NCP will reinforce the GA companions, together with the RJD, in all different seats to defeat Modi,” he mentioned.
