HUBBALLI: Teachers play a very powerful position in making polling successful each time. Employees of revenue and other departments also give a contribution their services for this nationwide paintings. However, district administration leaves them unattended after de-mustering on ballot day. Polling body of workers are in most cases delivered to taluk headquarters or at major road after submission of EVMs.

Sharing his remark, SS Harlapur, essential, Ningamma Hugar PU College in Annigeri, stated that election fee provides safety and delivery arrangement from Tahsildar administrative center to polling station at the eve of polling day. “Even we get identical whilst carrying EVMs from polling stations to returning officer at taluk headquarter. Submission of EVMs and other procedures continues till midnight in most cases. After this, we we can be delivered to taluk headquarter, from where we have to reach our home on our personal arrangement. Many instances we, the gentlemen, shuttle by any form of cars like lorry, tempo whichever is to be had in darkness,” he added.

Akkamahadevi, a instructor operating in Navalgund taluk, stated that her place of dwelling is in Adargunchi village close to Hubballi. “When I used to be assigned for meeting election responsibility in 2013, I reached Hubballi by 11.30pm but I may just not get any vehicle to Adaragunchi. Then I known as one among my family from Vidyanagar to pick me up. Then I stayed at their home and reached my village next day,” she recalled.


Shettar, any other girl instructor operating in Kalghatgi taluk, shared that she was once assigned to paintings in Aravatagi village of Alnavar taluk in 2014 Lok Sabha election. “I are living in Unkal house in Hubballi. I used to be relieved from ballot responsibility by 2 am and was once dropped in Dharwad. Though, the bus was once going to Hubballi depot, driving force stated he's directed to power bypass. I reached Hubballi bus stand by 3.30am,” she added.


Kumar, who served as presiding officer in Gram Panchayat election in 2015, stated that he had to sleep at Kundagol bus stand as there was once no bus to succeed in his village.


Many workers demanded the election fee to drop them at their place of dwelling after de-mustering procedure. “EC will likely be having our place of dwelling addresses and will have to think over the similar,” they added.
