Ranchi: The Congress birthday celebration’s Ranchi Lok Sabha seat candidate, Subodh Kant Sahay, was on a temple run around the city and its outskirts prior to filing his nomination papers on Tuesday afternoon.
Sahay, who's having a look to show the tables in his favour after his 2014 loss, brought in four priests from the Baidyanath Dham temple in Deoghar. Since early morning, he has been engrossed in non secular activities and held an hour-long puja at the crack of dawn.
“Subodh ji is a deeply non secular man and spends an hour each day in the temple that he in-built his home. Today, a special puja was held at five am by means of four priests from Baidyanath Dham. His family members also attended the development,” an affiliate of the previous Union minister stated.
Sahay’s morning itinerary also incorporated using all the way down to the Deori temple at Tamar, some 60 km southeast of Ranchi at 6 am. There he attended the temple’s maha aarati and offered a special bhog to the deity. Returning to Ranchi a few hours later, Sahay offered prayers at a Durga temple in Dhurwa’s Sector III area and took tours of the Bajrang Bali temple in Hinoo and Kali temple in Mani Tola. An hour prior to filling his nomination papers, Sahay paid a visit to the Mazhar of Risaldar Baba in Doranda.
At 12.30 pm, Sahay arrived at the district collectorate flanked by means of supporters and leaders of mahagatbandhan constituents — JMM, JVM-P and RJD. An hour later, he filed his papers with the Ranchi deputy commissioner, Rai Mahimapat Ray, in presence of state Congress president Ajoy Kumar and JVM-P general secretary Bandhu Tirkey. After filing his papers, Sahay stated, “We are fighting as one towards BJP. People have seen BJP, have understood their lies and corruption. It is a combat towards their lies and a combat to protect the Constitution.”
Sahay was now not the one candidate who sought blessings from the almighty. BJP candidate for a similar seat, Sanjay Seth, also spent more than an hour acting a special puja at the Pahari temple in the morning prior to he filed his papers.
