SURAT: Three individuals have been arrested for allegedly snatching and promoting looted cell phones from people from an area underneath the limits of Athwa police station here on Saturday. Police recovered 86 cell phones value Rs7.74 lakh from the accused, who used to tamper with their IMEI quantity to be sure that they were not traced thru digital surveillance.
Vijay Naiyaran, 19, Ankur alias Rahul Ray, 23, and Mohammad Noor alias Lalu Cyclewala, 21, have been arrested by way of police from Bhaga Talav area underneath Athwa police station limits.
