Thundersquall sweeps across Assam

GUWAHATI: A thundersquall swept across decrease, central and southern parts of Assam on Tuesday night, leaving in the back of a path of destruction. Kailash Sarma, an organizers of Bihu celebrations on the Latasil ground, stated, "In last 39 years, I have never seen our Bihu pandal being damaged in this manner. We are lucky that nobody was injured."

ASDMA stated that the damage led to in Cachar, Nagaon and Goalpara districts was once noticeably higher. As many as 155 other people were suffering from the typhoon in Cachar district in southern Assam, where 32 houses were partially damaged.


In central Assam's Nagaon district, 176 other people were affected and 44 houses were damaged. In decrease Assam's Goalpara district, ASDMA stated 84 houses were partially damaged and a faculty was once badly hit. Farmers are reported to have incurred heavy losses in southern Kamrup.
