RAJKOT: Two arms sellers were arrested with three pistols, price Rs 40,000, from Pedak Road near Aryanagar Nagar in Rajkot in the past 24 hours.
The accused were identified as Vasant Dudhatra alias Lalo (38) and Hiren Desai (25), each residents of Aryanagar.
“We arrested Dudhatra at the foundation of a tip-off. A rustic-made pistol was once recovered from him. Then, we checked his house and recovered two extra country-made pistols,” mentioned an respectable from Rajkot B-Division police station.
During interrogation, Dudhatra mentioned he had procured the firearms from Desai, following which he too was once arrested.
“Desai mentioned he had procured the firearms from a person identified as Panditji from Agra in Uttar Pradesh who was once introduced to him via Rakesh Rathod. We have launched a manhunt for Rakesh as his arrest will lead us to the primary accused,” added the respectable.
