Two held for duping over 40 job aspirants collectively of Rs 51 lakh

THANE: Two individuals were arrested for allegedly duping over 40 task aspirants to the tune of Rs 51 lakh jointly. The accused were identified as Gaurav Kumar Jha and Anuj Thakur. The accused had set up their centre at a mall in Ghodbunder Road. The accused used to place up task postings on the net and woo applicants.

The incident came to mild when one one the victims complained to the police officers . The victim advised the police officers that he met the accused at their place of work the place he was advised that they would provide him with a visa and task for which he must pay Rs 55,000. Once he paid the volume, the accused gave him a vacationer visa for Malaysia. Thinking that it was a work visa, the victim flew to Malaysia only to seek out that it wasn’t a work but vacationer visa.


The victim was then deported to India. When he returned, he met the accused who satisfied him to pay Rs 2.60 lakh for a visa to Russia. The victim paid them the volume but he didn’t get any visa.


The victim then lodged a complaint with the police officers. “We then learnt that as many as 40 task aspirants were duped in a equivalent means,” stated the legit.


The police stated that the accused were arrested and a case has been registered with the Chitalsar police beneath Sections 420 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Their third partner is at the run.
