UDUPI: Udupi has added yet every other numero uno feather to its cap – this time for 100% success in webcasting throughout first section of polls in Karnataka and 2d section for India as a complete – on April 18. Elections have been held in 14 districts within the state on Thursday and the poll procedure was once webcast in 54 cubicles in Udupi district. While some webcams in other districts failed for one or the other reason why, this wasn’t the case with the 54 webcams right here.
Hephsiba Rani Koralapati, district election officer, said webcasting of polls was once carried out in 54 sensitive cubicles within the district to keep tabs on any untoward incident that may happen, and footage from them was once monitored continuously at the keep an eye on room within the place of work of the deputy commissioner. In neighbouring Dakshina Kannada, webcams have been set up in 110 cubicles and 104 cameras worked, in Mysuru it was once 163 webcams out of 176 put in that worked. Chitradurga saw 66 out of 80 webcams put in which worked. In Tumakuru, 131 out of 140 cameras put in worked; whilst in Mandya 89 out of the 101 webcams put in functioned correctly. In Bengaluru Central, 69 out of 87 webcams that have been put in worked.
In Bengaluru North, 95 out of 101 webcams that have been put in worked, whilst in Kolar 86 out of 100 webcams worked, in Ramanagar 59 out of 60 webcams that have been set up have been purposeful, in Bengaluru South, 91 out of 100 webcams that have been put in served their purpose, in Bengaluru Rural 95 out of 100 webcams functioned, in Hassan 129 out of 134 cameras worked, and in Chikkaballapur 69 out of 70 webcams worked. Only in Udupi, all of the 54 webcams that have been used, functioned seamlessly.
Accompanied via Vidya Kumar, additional DC, the DC in my opinion ensured the cubicles had right kind energy provide, tested it for signal power and directed headmasters of colleges and PDOs to carry out remedial measures. The DC and her group additionally inspected their functioning on the eve of polls.
