AGRA: Nearly 3 weeks after police booked BSP Agra candidate for model code of habits violation, another BSP candidate from Fatehpur Sikri was booked on an identical fees.
On Tuesday night time, Shreebhagwan Sharma alias Guddu Pandit was booked beneath IPC sections 171 H (Illegal bills in connection with an election) and 188 (Disobedience to reserve duly promulgated via public servant), after BJP coordinator of Fatehpur Sikir Subash Dhal lodged written grievance to election commission government with video proof of Guddu Pandit traveling in scores of SUVs with his supporters via blowing prime pitch hooters within the constituency for ballot campaign.
Speaking to TOI, Subhash Dhal, the BJP birthday celebration worker, mentioned, “On Monday afternoon during ballot campaign, 44-year-old Guddu Pandit was allegedly discovered intimidating native resident and travelled at the side of supporters in scores of SUVs via blowing hooters, which was a violation of model code of habits and we lodged grievance about it.”
A video, shot via a bystander of Pandit’s cavalcade, corroborates Dhal’s claims.
Deeksha Sharma, further superintendent of police and incharge of Fatehpur Sikir circle, mentioned, “There have been more than 9 SUVs of BSP candidate’s cavalcade, which suggest that excessive funds have been spent within the ballot campaign against the prescribed guideline. The cars have been also discovered blowing hooters within the video, which is a violation of presidency orders.”
Guddu Pandit at the start hails from Noida, but is contesting from Fatehpur Sikri. According to his affidavit, he has seven felony instances against him together with extortion.
Last month BSP candidate from Agra Manoj Kumar Soni was booked via Itmad-ud-daula police for traveling in an SUV with BSP-SP flags hoisted at the automobile’s bonnet and rear during ballot campaign.
Weeks later former BSP MLA, Chaudhary Bashir who is now contesting election as unbiased from Firozabad parliamentary constituency was booked via Mantola police of Agra city for violating model code of habits.
