HYDERABAD: A 32-year-old divorcee who went to attend a party organised by her male pal, a businessman, used to be allegedly gang-raped by the businessman and his friends on Saturday evening at Kothapet. The sufferer approached Vanasthalipuram police on Monday and lodged a grievance.
Vanasthalipuram police mentioned that the sufferer and the businessman,30, changed into friends in December 2018. Since then they each have been in common contact with each other and changed into shut.
On Saturday evening when the accused used to be partying along with his five other friends, the sufferer telephoned her male pal, who used to be already inebriated together with his other friends.
"The victim was invited by her male friend to come to Kothapet, where the party was being held. After the victim joined them, she was offered beer and she consumed the drink. Subsequently, according to victim, her male friend and his other friends raped her," Vanasthalipuram inspector A Venkataiah mentioned. Following the incident, she used to be additionally intimidated by the accused to not divulge it to somebody.
It used to be at 2am on Monday that she approached Vanasthalipuram police station and lodged a grievance. A case used to be registered under sections 376 (rape), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
Police mentioned that the party came about in the residence of accused’s pal, who is presently on a pilgrim trip, but gave the keys to accused before he left and the premises used to be used to party and later for allegedly dedicate gang rape. The sufferer works as an agent in a monetary establishment.
