The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Mondaydemolished illegally constructed buildings in parts of the city. The civic body demolished buildings at a complete of 25 premises including seven hospitals, five tuition categories, six schools, five restaurants and two commercial complexes. While nine demolitions have been carried out in North Zone, six have been in south zone, two in east, 3 in west, two in central, 3 in south-west and one in north-west zone. South Zone: Sardar Patel Hospital, Nelson School and Body Carpenter Gym.
North Zone: Three schools, two restaurants, one tuition class and 3 hospitals.
West Zone: Blue Rooftop Bistro eating place and Goras Restaurant.
North West Zone: Four commercial buildings, one tuition class and two hospitals including Sterling Cancer Specialty Hospital in Thaltej.
