Heads of Buddhist monasteries across the city on Saturday prayed for peace and tolerance from a public platform on Buddha Purnima. The Election Commission had issued restrictions to the priests in Kolkata to keep the celebrations low key because of the elections and due to an intelligence record a few purported terror danger.
